7. Packs

7.1 A pack

  1. Rarities: a new deck uses DA_QC_Rarities_Basic (Common 60%, Uncommon 30%, Rare 8%, Legendary 2%). Pick each row's Rarity in the table.
  2. Make a Pack (QuickCards → Pack): its Deck and Cards Per Pack. Problems at the top says what to fix.
  3. Open it: Open Pack (pack, Make Random Seed) → Cards. Show them, or add them to a hand.

Odds: a pack card gets a rarity by the chances, then a card of that rarity weighted by copies (4 uncommons with one copy each: 1 in 4 of the 30%).

To... Do this
Use your own rarities QuickCards → Rarities: one line per rarity, common to rarest, each a chance (they needn't add to 1)
No duplicates in a pack untick Allow Duplicates
A rare in every pack tick Guaranteed Rarity → Rare
Pity (a legendary within 10 packs) tick Pity Rarity → Legendary, Pity Packs 10; pass and save Packs Without Pity Card
A premium pack a Rarities asset with the same names, other chances, as the pack's Own Chances
The same pack every time your own seed instead of Make Random Seed

7.2 Opening a pack on screen

  1. On the pack (Look): Pack Art, Tear Line, Reveal Mode (Stack or Fan), Build Up Rarity (e.g. Rare).
  2. A full-screen widget with a QuickCards Pack Opening → Start Opening (pack, the player's saved Packs Without Pity Card, 0 for a new player).
  3. Bind On Pack Finished: keep the Cards, save the new pity count, then remove the widget or open the next one.

Players drag across the dotted line to tear (or tap, or Enter / confirm), tap or flick for the next card, drag to peek, hold to see one big. Sound settings take your own sounds; On Pack Torn, On Build Up Started and On Card Revealed (with the rarity) are for haptics and effects. Hint Rare Inside (on) makes sparkles burst out when a build-up card is inside.
